A Chaplain is not only a capable fighter, but as a spiritual leader, is among the most inspiring Characters in the Space Marines roster, able to offer a number of powerful effects to nearby units of Space Marines. This Chaplain model can be used by any First Founding Chapter or one of their successors, and even the Deathwatch. Tarentus is armed with a crozius arcanum – a Chaplain’s symbol of office – as well as a combi-flamer, and his Terminator armor is heavily decorated with filigree, scrollwork and purity seals.
Thus, Chaplains are also trained to wear formidable Terminator armor so they can fight alongside Veteran battle-brothers.
Every Space Marine is roused to war by the litanies of their Chaplains, and never is this spiritual fortification more vital than amidst the blood and horror of boarding actions and beachhead strikes.
